(1st HOH Competition)
Result of the 1st HOH Competition: Kail.
The houseguests have spent five days and nights in the Sequester House waiting to play Big Brother - Season 8.
Julie greets the 11 new houseguests and randomly chooses the first four to go into the house - Carol, Joe, Mike and Amber. Next Nick, Danielle and Jameka go in and choose their beds. Then finally, Kail, Jen, Eric and Zach are last to enter the house. They all gather in the living room and sit on the couch for some quick introductions - Amber, a cocktail waitress from Las Vegas, Nevada - Carol, a college student from Lawrence, Kansas - Danielle, a waitress from Huntington Beach, California - Jen, a nanny from Beverly Hills, California - Kail, a multi-business owner from Oregon (she only reveals that she is a real estate agent to the other houseguests) - Eric, a marketing assistant from New York, New York - Mike, a painting contractor from Three Lakes, Wisconsin - Joe, a receptionist (in a children's hair salon) from Chicago, Illinois - Nick, an former football player from Kimball, Minnesota - Zach, a graphic designer from Burbank, California - and Jameka, a school counselor from Waldorf, Maryland. Julie announces a BB8 twist - there are three other people sequestered in the house from some of the other houseguest's pasts. The 11 houseguests then go to the backyard for the first HOH Competition (everyone pairs up except Nick, who sits on the sidelines). Kail and Eric win the competition and Julie announces that the three hidden houseguests are safe from eviction this week and they get to pick who (Kail or Eric) will win the HOH title. They unanimously choose Kail.
They clean up and go back inside where Julie tells everyone that some of the houseguests will be "sleeping with their enemy" this summer. Some of the houseguests are talking about how it could be certain people from their past when Joe suddenly announces that it's probably Dustin, an ex-boyfriend who gave him Gonorrhea (that's so tacky! and Ewww!). Julie announces for the sequestered houseguests to come down the stairs, one at a time - Jessica, a college student from Haysville, Kansas (Carol's high school rival) - Dick, a bar manager from Los Angeles, California (Daniele's estranged father) - and Dustin, a shoe salesman from Chicago, Illinois (uh yeah, Joe's ex-boyfriend).
Then Julie reveals (only to the viewing audience) that another twist this year is "America's Player." One houseguest will play the game for America and that person is Eric. In every episode this summer, America will be giving him instructions or tasks that he has to complete. He will get $10,000 for every five tasks he follows through with.
